|
Start Players in the key area, make them run quickly to the 3pt extended and sprint back in, working on inside footwork. Both directions. Making sure they are coming into the shot ready to shot – feet ready, hands ready, follow through!

Rapid Fire
|
2 partners and 2 balls. One player passes while the other shots. Work on proper shot stance, ball location (find seems), and proper follow through. Players are spaced L-R of centerline and lined going North - South about 15 feet apart. Passer spaces wider based on shooters ability to extend shot in rapid motion working on arch, rotation, and distance.
(A big ball, or a heavy ball can be replace the basketball in this drill during certain times and when group size allows)

Catch n Shot
|
Players work on catching and shooting from different areas of the court. this is done with a self toss pass to his or herself. Player toss ball ahead and then react as if receiving a pass. This drill must be practiced going in both directions with attention paid to footwork and fluid motion shooting mechanics.

Get as many players involved in this at one time. A good solution would be two players at a time going for 1 min and rotating the line. Players not shooting would be doing Pistol Pete drills, or some other ball drill. Adjust drill to size of group, and also work on toss with back to the basket. Back to the basket tosses are just as important as front tosses.

Around the Horn Shooting
|
Players shoot from (5) different spots on the court working on shooting off the dribble. They have a specific dribble count and amount of shots from each spot. Spots are deep corner (R), Free-throw Line Extended (R), Top of Key, Free Throw Line Extended (L), and Deep corner (L). A Coach can change spots or shorten drill based on time.

Two Line Inside Out Jumpers
|
Line under basket and a line at the perimeter spot. The line under the basket passes to the perimeter for a catch and shot or combo option. Shooter follows rebound, passer fills the other line.

You can have the defense close out or play semi live to make shots harder!

Attack n Go
|
A line at the bottom of center circle (use multi courts if needed – depending on size of group). Players attack off the dribble, and make move at free throw line and go. Once player has moved through series of moves from attacking from the center of the court they will work on attacking and shooting of dribble from top.
